Chicago has been renowned of playing a major part of the birth of underground house music. Embarking on the scene, Jimmie played an integral part of the development of Chicago’s progressive house and EDM scene, which now trail blazes the city’s nightlife. Jimmie held main room DJ residencies at some of the most legendary night clubs that Chicago and Miami have to offer, which include Crobar Chicago/Miami, Vision Chicago, Shelter Chicago, Nocturnal Miami just to name a few. In the Dj booth, Jimmie has hosted and performed alongside the best Djs and Producers in the world. Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Carl Cox, Max Chapman, Fedde Le Grand, Mauro Picotto, Chemical Brothers, Erick Morillo, DJ Dan and Donald Glaude are only a noted few from an immeasurable list. Soon after Jimmie’s rise in the club and underground scene he landed one of the most coveted spots in Chicago that of a resident DJ on Chicago’s premier dance radio station (WKIE Energy 92.7/5) where he hosted his own five hour show called Clubland Friday Night. Jimmie was one of the first in the U.S. to showcase international DJ talent such as Fatboy Slim, Ferry Corsten, Christopher Lawrence and so many others into a field traditionally held by local talent. In the studio Jimmie has produced some famous remixes such as Fozerelli’s Moonlight Party and 4 Non Blondes big hit What’s up. Look for new track releases from Jimmie as there will be several throughout the year of 2024. With the end of an era approaching Jimmie’s career was about to move into another direction. Taking notice of Jimmie’s resume, the Ultra Music Festival team had signed him to perform at the Ultra Music Festival 6 in 2004. This accomplished a long time goal. With the continued success of his mix show, Jimmie was invited back to perform at Ultra 7. His dedication towards hard work, consistency and perfection was immediately recognized. Passion for his craft and music was an evident formula of the next chapter. The Ultra organization took notice and recruited Jimmie to become the Host and PD of their upcoming radio show UMF Radio. Jimmie is now a huge part of the Ultra tradition and looking forward to rocking 3 days of Ultra Music Festival in 2024. JP will continue to spread his Energy and Music to dance floors and listeners across the world.
